Welcome to Our Campaign

For those of you who may not know me, my name is Thomas Jones, and I’m running for the House of Delegates representing District 52.

I am the Assistant Pastor at New First Baptist Church of Kanawha City. I have a Master of Divinity degree, and a bachelor’s in religious studies.

I am a Case Manager for Mindoula Health, Inc. where I’m responsible for identifying, engaging, and serving populations with complex behavioral health, medical, and social challenges.

My hobbies are spending time with my amazing grandchildren and being involved in youth sports. I am a certified WVSSAC basketball coach and a coach with a traveling youth basketball organization. I am also a WVSSAC basketball and volleyball official.

I have been a community advocate/activist for many years. I am ready to continue tackling issues around poverty, infrastructure, caring for our elderly and veterans on a NEW level. It is my desire to support the growth of our economy and the creation of new jobs that pay a fair wage. We cannot give up on finding better ways to address the drug epidemic, access to mental health care and homelessness. Education must also be a top priority.

One of the successes my team and I are particularly pleased about is obtaining approval for a 15 million dollar project to provide needed repairs to an outdated sewer/drainage system for an unincorporated community in District 52. I have communicated regularly with the Department of Highways in an effort to improve our secondary roads. I’ve been able to successfully work with the Kanawha County Commission to tear down abandoned homes, making our communities a safe place to live. I will continue to work hard to ensure our district is recognized.

Together, we can make a difference. Your support and involvement are crucial in shaping the future of our state. Stay informed, stay engaged, and be a part of the change. Your voice matters. Let's work hand-in-hand to create a brighter tomorrow for all West Virginians.

I am Thomas Jones, a driven man of integrity, and someone you can count on to work tirelessly to make the District 52 and West Virginia a better place to live and work.
